This means all apps used on our platform must also comply with these strict data compliance policies. For example, if we use an app to handle our review system (which we do), that app is also responsible for purging your personal data upon a data erasure request.
This also means that Shopify has a single rule book for personal data privacy. That single rule book must comply with any region where Shopify operates, including the above regions. While this makes privacy policies consistent across the board, it also has the positive effect of enhancing consumer privacy in areas where they're technically not legally enforced.
What's Removed
Personally identifiable information across Shopify and public applications, including:
- Full names,
- Email addresses,
- Physical addresses,
- Phone numbers.
What Isn't Removed
Information kept for legal purposes, including:
- Purchase history,
- Financial transaction information,
- Your product warranty rights.
While purchase history and warranty rights are retained, the personally identifiable information is not associated with these orders.
Product Warranty Considerations
When you request an erasure of your personal data, it'll be more difficult for our customer service team to assist you with your prior orders or warranty claims since there will not be any personally identifiable information on our end. We strongly suggest backing up all previous communications with Sex Toys Depot, including order confirmations, so we can verify your identity and process your warranty request.
Option 1: Email Sex Toys Depot
Our customer service team can assist you with data erasure, and you can request one by sending us an email. Please include your full name and email address associated so we can be thorough in the data erasure process. The email associated with your data erasure request will be purged following a confirmation of data erasure.
Option 2: Contact Shopify
Alternatively, you can request our underlying service provider to erase your data. This might be the better option if you have ever used "Shop Pay" or have purchased from other Shopify stores, and want your data removed entirely from their system.
